Dates for the Opening and Closing Weekends

Updated: Dec 21, 2021

Hello Friends!

It's almost January so it's time to think about Chautauqua! Here are some important dates for you to put on your calendar for 2022 work weekends.

Opening Work Weekends

June 2-5, 2022 is the 1st opening work weekend at Chautauqua UCC

June 16-19, 2022 is the 2nd opening

work weekend at Chautauqua UCC

Work for the above weekends involves making up beds, getting the kitchen in order for the season, doing a little weeding in the gardens and other odd jobs around our buildings.

Closing Work Weekend

August 27-30, 2022 is our closing work weekend

Work for the closing weekend involves taking in outdoor signs, flags, banners and awning, covering beds and cleaning the kitchen and appliances.

As always, come when you can and leave when you must. Even if you can only stay a day or two we can use your help. When you volunteer we are able to keep our room rates low and you may get your room preference for the season based on your volunteer service. If you come for a work day or weekend you may stay at one of our buildings free of charge.
