This letter is the official notice of the Annual Meeting of the Chautauqua United Church of Christ Society. All members in good standing (current 2021 members and life members) are eligible to vote on the official business of the Society.
We have been enjoying an in person season at Chautauqua! The crowds are low but the programming is still first rate. The morning worship has provided first rate preachers. The Motet choir (greatly reduced in number – by design) is providing excellent music and we are falling in love with our new Chautauqua Organist and Music Director, Joshua Stafford. We miss Jared Jacobsen! Joshua is the perfect successor!
We enthusiastically remind you that you can access many of the presentations, worship and programming through the Chautauqua Assembly at https://assembly.chq.org/. The cost is just $39.99 for 2021 – the whole year! There is a free trial available.
Our bylaws state we must have an annual meeting, in person, at Chautauqua each year. This is your notice! The meeting will be held on Sunday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. in Randall Chapel at the Headquarters.
If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, please return the Proxy form with your instructions to Ruth Becker, secretary (see address or email below).
