Welcome Evadne Giannini!

We are fortunate to be able to welcome Evadne Giannini as our new Facilities Manager. Evadne has shepherded the 20/20 bathroom remodeling project with expertise and good will.

Hometown?  Summit, NJ

Occupation?  Environmental Consultant

Connections to Chautauqua? My mother and her mother both attended CHQ. My sister, Christina Giannini, has been the costume designer for the CHQ Ballet Department for almost 30 years. My mother visited with my sister and stayed at the Mayflower for a few years in season. In 1991 Mother died in the Jamestown Hospital after a summer in CHQ when she fell from a stroke at the Spencer House. Favorite Amphitheater memory?  Listening to Stanley Kuntz in 1997 read The Wellfleet Whale from his collection of poems Passing Through.

Best ice cream at CHQ?  Moose Tracks

Corn? Tomatoes? or Gladiolas? Corn, always corn. Corn everyday…. Note*** Chautauqua County corn is not quite as good as Ulster County, NY Delaware River Corn. But I can’t live without corn almost every day in season. I am a corn snob.  And, it loves me. I can tell you where and when to get the best corn in Chautauqua County.

Beloved CHQ hymn? Hymn #42 – Now the Day is Over
