The Revs. Linda McFadden and Philip Wiehe


Linda McFadden retired from active pastoral ministry in the UCC after serving churches in six states, specializing in guiding congregations through pastoral transition. She has also worked in the areas of communications and training in not-for-profit organizations and business, and taught in six colleges and universities. She holds degrees from Stetson University, the University of North Carolina, and Pacific School of Religion, and is credentialed in spiritual direction by the Haden Institute, where she now serves as a mentor in the training program for spiritual directors.

Philip Wiehe is a native of Cincinnati, OH. After attending Johns Hopkins University he was graduated from Yale Divinity School with an M. Div. in 1975 and an S. T. M. in 1976 and ordained as an Episcopal priest in the same year. He also holds ministerial standing in the United Church of Christ. He has served in parishes, campus ministries, other non-profit organizations, and operated a restaurant and cabaret. He has also worked as a church consultant for search process, conflict management, and strategic planning. In the last ten years before retiring, Philip served as the interim rector of six Episcopal churches with varied challenges. 

Philip and Linda live in Hendersonville, NC with two cats. Linda and Philip have two adult children and one grandchild. They met on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and continue to enjoy international travel. Since their retirement they have initiated a ministry of leading pilgrimages.
